Is there any way to make the "ribbon" in the new Microsoft Office look and work like the oldschool toolbars?

I don't like the ribbon. Everything is in the wrong place and difficult to find. I can't even find how to manage the animations in PowerPoint. Is there any way to set it so I can use it like the toolbars they had in Windows XP?
