Movies on my I-pod touch 4th gen. keep disappearing?

Every time I go to watch a movie or T.V. show, at least one or two have disappeared. They're on my purchase history if I go look at it, but they will not let me re-download it. Anyone got a clue of how to get them back? Thanks (:
