My cat got wrapped up in fly ribbon, how do i get the glue thats in her fur out?

take her to a vet and let them sedate her and get it out. it is toxic to her.you would need two people. trim it out very carefully with scissors. she wont look good but the hair will grow back. it would be easier and less stressful to her if you let a vet sedate her and do it.you will need to be very careful not to clip her skin and you will need two people,one to hold her,one to snip.dawn and other soaps are toxic to cats and this is why they sell kitten/cat shampoo. cats incessantly lick their fur and thus whatever they were bathed in. they have very small livers which cannot detoxify chemicals. giving her a bath will certainly freak her out. if she were mine she would be on her way to the vet. that is the easiest way for her. and i understand because i have been there that times are hard right now, so the second way i described is the best if you cant take her to the vet. they will sedate her. when she wkes up it will all be gone and over and no stress for her.
