My computer doesn't recognize my Ipod?

Itunes updated recently, and after the update, my computer no longer recognizes my iPod. I've already tried restarting it, putting it into disk mode, restarting my computer, and I have no clue what else I can do to fix this, and I really could use the help. Oh, I should probably mention, my OS is Windows 7, and I have the latest iTunes, 10.3. something.
